This is the second time I try the rice cake. It can be regarded as successful in terms of taste, texture, but there is still little hiccup that makes no perfect - the shape is no good.
The vital part of doing this is the mold. 工欲善其事, 必先利其器也. I bought a mold purposly on doing this.
It is worth to spend this $10 dollar. It is a pine tree shape.
I used the leftover rice, add in condiments, microwave a while to make it warm. Then press the rice into the mold. It is easy to make the shape. Pan fry a while with high heat. The last step spoil the shape! When I pick it up with the spatula from the wok, it falls into the saucer. Alas, it breaks at the corner, not a tree shape la.
Anyway, the rice is crispy, taste is good. See my supper!
